Son of Sardar: Rajamouli praised for his prudence
Do you like this story?
Some critics are of the opinion that choosing Ajay Devgn, who is known for his image of an able action hero, for the role of a non-violent, almost timid protagonist in Son of Sardar may be a mistake. They say that Rajamouli was wiser in choosing Sunil, a comedian.
They definitely make a valid point. If the film was found to be convincing, it was mainly because Sunil perfectly fitted the bill. On the other hand, Ajay has not been seen sitting well with the character.
SoS, an adaptation of Maryada Ramanna, is said to be inspired by Our Hospitality, a silent comedy released in 1923.
