Director Vijay has confirmed signing Vijay for the project and reports suggest that the hunt for the female lead is going on aggressively.

After rumours initially suggested that Samantha or Amala Paul might get cast opposite to Vijay, it is now being said that the director wants a new face doing the role. One of the names that's been considered is Yami Gautham, from Bollywood who already has a Hindi film under her name and is currently working on Radha Mohan's next. Having already attracted several audiences with her ad films, Yami might just be the perfect choice for the Vijay-Vijay combo.
