Tag fan pages in your fb photos
Do you like this story?
A new feature became operational today on Facebook allowing you to tag Facebook fan pages in your photos.
This is just another way fan page owners can get their site noticed and onto people’s news feeds. As you can see in the picture below, you tag just the way you would tag another person. The tagged photo will then show up under the fan pages photo’s tab. You can tag a page in a photo even if you haven’t “Liked” it.
Page administrators can turn this feature off by going to Edit Page –> Posting Options and unchecking “Users can add photos”. For people concerned about your photo being tagged in front of a fan page with millions of fans, privacy settings have been put in place to prevent this from getting out of control. If you have your privacy settings set to allow anybody to see your photos, then the whole world will be able to see your picture. If you have it set to “only friends”, then only your friends will be able to see that picture of you tagged alongside Ronald McDonald.
This new feature is going to result in some great free advertising for companies. They will have a constant flow of new pictures on their page with people using their brand.
So I guess the question is, what do you guys think? Are you going to start tagging brands and famous people in your pictures?
